Gymnastics Classes

Beginning Boys and Girls ages 6 & up
SAGA offers beginning through advanced instruction for the gymnastics athlete. Each class will begin with a structured warmup which could be in running, jumping jacks, jump rope or other types of games! After that brief warm up, the coaches will lead the athletes in a series of gymnastics stretches. Following the stretches, the classes will seperate into more specific groups.

Girl's Beginning Classes will teach the basic gymnastics aspects including flexibility, strength and coordination which encourages a healthy lifestyle through fun and safe exercise! These 1-hour classes will rotate through the Women's Olympic Equipment including: Floor, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Vault, as well as utilizing our in-ground trampoline, climbing rope and foam pit. At SAGA, we let your child progress at their own pace, while always challenging them with new skills to prepare them for a higher difficulty level in gymnastics.

Boys Beginning Classes rotate through all the Men's Olympic Events throughout the gym. The events include: Floor, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Hi-Bar. Classes will also include Trampoline & Rope from time to time. The students will learn the basic skills on each event, and develop more advanced skills as each individual progresses. In these boys classes, coaches strive to create a balanced program that is sure to keep the highest energy boy engaged!

These high energy, 1-hour classes are a balance between fun, strength and gymnastics technique!

Intermediate & Level 1 - 3 Classes
Boys and Girls ages 6 & up
These accelerated classes are designed to be more challenging than a beginning recreational class. Your child's coach will recommend them to move to one of these advanced classes when they feel your child needs a bigger challenge. The boys intermediate classes are designed to perfect the skills needed for your child to progress to a higher level. The girls level 1, 2 and 3 classes are progressional steps that help to shape each gymnast for the next phase of gymnastics.

What to Wear:

Girls may wear a leotard or shorts without zippers, pockets, belt loops, buckles or buttons (no jeans please!) with a T-shirt that is roomy but not too loose. Just something comfortable that won't get caught on equipment!

Current Events

Don't forget, SAGA will be closed starting December 22nd through January 4th. Classes will resume on January 5th! SAGA's Winter Camp 2008! Open registration starts November 4th for ages 4 & up. December 22, 23, 24 & 29, 30 and 31st   Now you can connect to SAGA's wireless hotspot while you watch the kids flip!
